Internship Opportunities
Fairmount Properties is committed to offering internships
programs that allows a student tremendous exposure to all facets of residential
and commercial development. The individual will work directly
with the principals and staff in the areas of due diligence, proforma
analysis, financing, construction, market analysis and leasing. The
candidate should be able to devote a minimum of 15 hours per week and
will be based out of Fairmount Properties offices directly north of Shaker
Square. Interns should currently be enrolled in courses relating
to urban planning, real estate or have an interest in pursuing a career
in the real estate development field.
We are hopeful that the internship can be created in collaboration
with the professor or instructor so that the student can obtain credit
hours and/or a grade as this is a position that offers experience rather
than monetary compensation.

Project Cost Accountant
Due to company growth, we are seeking a Project Cost Accountant who will be responsible for all aspects of development accounting relating to the construction of our larger development projects. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation of construction loan requisitions for multiple funding sources, maintaining monthly job costing reports, working with Project Manager to track all construction contracts and change orders, maintaining multiple general ledgers, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and work papers on a GAAP, Tax and Cash basis as well as assisting in the coordination of annual audits for multiple joint venture entities. This is a great opportunity for someone who has three to five years of real estate development accounting.
